E-Conference - Francofintech
18 May 2021
The EDB will be participating in the Francofintech event on the 20th of May 2021 (starting at 16 30).
The main purpose of the event is to gather French-speaking ecosystems: Finance Innovation (France), Finance Montreal (Quebec), LHOFT (Luxembourg), Africa Fintech Forum (Africa), Casablanca Finance City (Morocco), Fintech Belgium (Belgium) and the Economic Development Board (Mauritius), in partnership with Village Francophone.
The goal is to better coordinate French-speaking ecosystems with one another, to better capitalize on the asset represented by the French-speaking world (222 million speakers) and to use these ecosystems as a conduit to non-French speaking worlds.
Each ecosystem will present themes on which it has a competitive advantage: Artificial Intelligence (Quebec), Blockchain (Luxembourg), Insurtech (France), Financial inclusion (Morocco), Regtech (Belgium), Open banking and Smart tech (Africa) and Crowdfunding (Mauritius).
