Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair, 8th - 10th November 2018, Wan Chai , Hong Kong
10 Nov 2018

Mauritius is one of the few countries that produces both Agricultural Rums - also known as flavoured rums and Traditional Rums - also known as flavoured rums & island recipe rums. The Mauritian rum which is produced by fermenting and distilling pure sugarcane juice, from light to aged (up to 25 years), has been widely acclaimed in various tasting competitions in international Rum Festivals across Europe. In line with the vision of graduating the offering of the classic Mauritian Rum to a new level of sophistication, a large variety of infused rums have been introduced which uses the island’s local fruits, spices and coffee.
As part of its market diversification strategy to explore new and emerging markets, the Economic Development Board will lead a delegation comprising 6 operators to this year’s edition of the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair which will be held from 8th – 10th November 2018.
The Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair 2018 is a three-day event at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai and will attract more than 20,000 international buyers from 37 countries with over 1200 exhibitors. In this regard, the event will provide an excellent opportunity and a unique platform to consolidate ties with Mauritius from a trade perspective. The key objective is to enhance the visibility of Mauritian Spirits and increase exports in the Asia Pacific region as well as promote Mauritius as an ideal destination for Trade & Investment.
