Based on the strong growth potential of the medical devices manufacturing industry in Mauritius, the EDB will participate for the first time in the Med-Tech Innovation Expo 2019 which will be held on 15th and 16th May 2019 in Birmingham, UK.
The Med-Tech Innovation Expo 2019 is UK & Ireland’s leading showcase for medical design and manufacturing, which brings together designers, engineers, innovators and manufacturers from the medical and healthcare sectors to source products, explore new ideas, understand emerging technologies, and network with companies representing the entire medical device supply chain.
EDB’s participation in Med Tech Innovation 2019 will provide new opportunities to connect with major players of the industry, develop new markets and keep abreast with the latest and evolving trends in the sector.
Med-Tech Innovation Expo 2019 will feature four different areas on emerging sectors in 2019 – medical services, manufacturing technology, electronics & components and Digital high-tech. A few examples of companies exhibiting at the event are B Braun, Roche, Siemens, Sartorius, Johnson & Johnson, 3M among others. The 2018 edition of the fair attracted some 4000 attendees and 200 exhibitors from 22 different countries.
