Vitafoods Europe 2019, 7-9 May 2019, Geneva, Switzerland
7 Mar 2019

Vitafoods Europe is a dedicated event whereby the health and functional foods supply chain converges to do business. The growth in the global food industry can be attributed to favourable economic and cultural transformation as well as change in lifestyles and needs of consumers.
There has been a clear shift from pills to powders, edibles and teas. Mauritius is no exception. Emerging innovations coupled with the booming market for natural products present important opportunities for both trade and investment in Mauritius. Recent trends indicate that people are going back to the natural cures which opens new avenues for diversification and value- addition in Mauritius. Furthermore, Mauritian entrepreneurs have developed new products which are exported in niche international markets. There is thus potential for commercial and industrial expansion of these locally-made products.
In an endeavor to further strengthen promotional initiatives in the field of medicinal and herbal products, the Economic Development Board will participate for the first time in Vitafoods Europe which will be held from 7th to 9th May 2019 in Geneva.
Vitafoods Europe is deemed to be the ideal platform for Mauritian manufacturers to promote their products, learn about the latest innovation and applications, source from new buyers and distributors as well as seek new markets. High-quality ingredients, raw materials, service or related products can be sourced from over 1,200 global suppliers. The event is expected to attract more than 22,000 visitors from 115 countries over 3 days.
