Themed ‘Scaling Up through Trade’, the 18th World Export Development Forum (WEDF), a flagship event of the International Trade Centre (ITC), will be held on the 11th and 12th of September 2018 at Mulungushi Conference Centre in Lusaka, Zambia. WEDF 2018 will be co-hosted by the Government of Zambia through the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry.
Business leaders, policymakers and entrepreneurs are expected to attend the event to explore a range of trade-related issues, including agribusiness, investment and the African Continental Free Trade Area. The Forum is the place to take the pulse of global trade, discuss strategies to connect businesses to new markets and take concrete actions for change.
The World Export Development Forum will be preceded by business to business (B2B) meetings on the 10th and 11th September 2018. The B2B event will gather companies engaged in the agricultural sector, linking producers and buyers, exporters and importers, commercial farmers and manufacturers. ITC will conduct preliminary identification of business complementarities and will facilitate appointments.
