All Fashion Sourcing Cape Town- 2021

The Economic Development Board Mauritius is renewing participation in the Allfashion Sourcing Cape Town (Virtual edition) which will be held from 19 to 21 October 2021. Buyers will be able to virtually connect with exhibitors of textile, leather and footwear products. The event will see the participation of key African and international decision makers, buyers, chains stores, independent retailers, mini-chains, corporate clothing buyers, designers, private labels, procurement directors, amongst others. The event is a business-oriented marketplace for the textile and fashion industry which will feature Artificial Intelligence (AI) matchmaking, Personalised Exhibitor Page, One to one Video Calls as well as Chat Functionality

Twenty-five Mauritian textile and apparel manufacturers will participate in this second virtual edition of Source Africa to strengthen relationship with their South African buyers and propose new collections. Mauritian manufacturers have established solid partnerships with renowned South African retailers such as Woolworths, Foschini, Edgars, Adidas amongst others.

The possibility to innovate coupled with good quality of products made with care and excellence in customer services has propelled a new dimension to the bilateral trade relations between Mauritius and South Africa. Mauritius is also offering investment opportunities to further the concept of ‘Made in Africa’ through regional value-chains. Mauritius exports a wide variety of textile and apparel products to South Africa, including yarn, knitted fabrics, denim, T-shirts, pullovers, kidswear, amongst others. Mauritian suppliers to South Africa include both large companies as well as small and medium enterprises that supply small volumes to major south African retailers.
