Launch of pre-budget consultations by Dr. the Hon. Renganaden Padayachy, Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Development

The Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Development, Dr. the Hon. Renganaden Padayachy, chaired the second Public-Private Joint Committee on Friday 04th March 2022 at the Hennessy Park Hotel in Ebene.
The high-level committee saw the participation of representatives of private sector institutions, business operators, senior officials from the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Development and the Economic Development Board amongst others. Discussions focused on the recommendations of the economic commissions which were set up under the EDB following the last budget, as well as on the identification of new opportunities for Mauritius.
The Hon. Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Development also kickstarted the pre-budget consultations and launched an online platform to facilitate proposals for Budget 2022-2023 from all stakeholders including individuals, operators, business institutions and NGOs amongst others.
